ASx Issuer Functionality

The ASx platform is capable of holding either a full or partial card/account database. ASx can perform full positive authorization against the database, partial validation against the database before forwarding to an external authorizer or perform full authorization against the database only when the route to the authorizer is unavailable (stand-in).

ASx can hold a negative database of stolen or illegal used cards, which can be used to detect and recover illegally cards before selectively passing a transaction on for positive authorization elsewhere. Additionally, a greylist is supported for cards with special processing requirements. The type of authorization to be employed is fully configurable and may be selected for any card or card group, any transaction type, terminal/merchant type, customer profile, etc. For more information, please select the Transaction Support option from the menu.

ASx supports both single and multi-card accounts. It also allows a card to be tied to multiple accounts. This flexibility enables authorizations to be made with individual, family, corporate and purchasing card schemes.

ASx allows loyalty programs to be defined for any defined card product. The loyalty scheme supports variable points scoring, for example, varied by date, merchant identifier and transaction value.

Card Types

ASx is a highly parameterized system that supports the online authorization and routing of all types of credit, debit, stored value, gift and ICC cards.

Card Definitions

ASx allows new card types to be added dynamically, the processing rules or authorization profiles can be defined at many levels, including issuer level, account level, card level, acquiring device level and acquiring merchant level. In addition to this hierarchical structure, the authorization database also supports the concept of customer profiling which allows certain rules to be applied to certain cards/accounts within a group.
